Adams State sophomore Stephanie Cotter won the women's mile in 4:44.23, which converts to 4:38.04 because of altitude, at the Don Kirby Elite Indoor Invitational at Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Cotter, the reigning NCAA Division 2 indoor mile champion, ran the fastest time in the division this season based on the conversion. Her raw time elevates to the No. 2 indoor mark in program history and makes Cotter the No. 10 all-time Division 2 indoor mile performer.
